In my latest oil painting, I capture the dramatic hoodoos of Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument during golden hour. Working with a palette knife, I’ve built up thick layers of paint to create a textural landscape where deep blue shadows meet sun-warmed oranges, bringing to life these towering rock formations of the American Southwest.
